EUROPEAN DOG FRIENDLY BEACHES FOR YOUR NEXT HOLIDAY

The downside to a summer holiday to the beach house is the restricted entry, especially for our four-legged family members. But worry not, as most dog owners may know, most beaches across continents open their door to the four-legged guests including tourists in the off-season. Let’s face it, a road trip up to the beachside is just not complete without a frolic in the sand dunes and a quick dip of the paws in the salt water. Although the main beaches are mostly dog friendly in the off seasons, the dog-friendly beaches on the other hand are always open all year round with amenities such as fresh bowls of water, dog waste bags as well as lounge chairs for the humans without the side eyes from other visitors. So we always prefer to go to the following dog-friendly beaches over the others. Here are our top picks for our favorite dog-friendly beaches across Europe for your next trip!

PACKING LIST

For a day trip with a dog, we would always recommend packing for all possible (weather) scenarios.

Going to the beach in the colder months? Don't forget to bring a light dog rain jacket, even in spring or fall, to protect your furry friend when the sea breeze gets too strong.

If you don't know what else to pack: Our dog bathrobe is ideal for the car journey after swimming. It dries your dog's coat in no time at all, so the cozy beach house is spared any messy splashes. For relaxed trips to the beach, you should always take your favorite blanket or a dog travel bed with you so that your dog can retreat to its usual sleeping place between swimming sessions.

Are you still missing the right accessories for your beach vacation? Our dog bandanas in different design bring a nice flair to every situation.
