Description
The Alaska Dog Coat in Light Olive features a narrow, elongated fit, because slender sighthounds and sighthound breeds such as Whippets or Galgos feel the cold faster than other dogs and therefore need a different fit to regular dog coats.
A belly panel and chest warmer provide extra warmth in areas that, due to sighthounds' minimal undercoat and slim build, can chill particularly quickly. The coat is lined with a soft, down-look padding that keeps dogs reliably warm even in cold winter weather. This also makes the coat suitable for dogs with little undercoat, city dogs, or dogs with joint problems such as arthritis or rheumatism.
The comfortable fit offers full freedom of movement, while an elastic cord keeps the coat securely in place during running and sniffing, so it doesn't shift out of position. Hook-and-loop fastenings make putting the coat on quick and easy, with no fiddly fitting required. A long, waterproof two-way zip along the back means the harness and collar stay easily accessible, even under the coat.
Alongside the cut for sighthounds, the Alaska Dog Coat is also available in special cuts for other dogs with distinctive body shapes, such as dachshunds or French Bulldogs, giving them a well-fitting, warm solution for winter too.

Care instructions:
Washing:
Close all zips and hook-and-loop fastenings before washing; only half-fill the washing machine; add tennis balls to the machine to prevent the padding from clumping.
Delicate or wool cycle at max. 30°C.
Use a down or delicate detergent.
Do not use fabric softener.
Spin at max. 600 rpm.
Drying:
Dry the coat lying flat. Shake vigorously several times to prevent the padding from clumping. Re-impregnating afterwards is possible.
